Hello, Howdy, and How Are Ya:
The purpose of composing this brief bio is to let you know something of myself before you call. I find it difficult to talk about myself, so here goes. Before I begin, I want to say that “I want to be your Real Estate Salesperson”. Call me, ED PRESLEY, at home: 276-322-2730 or cell: 276-322-2221 and put me to work for you.
I am a husband, father (3) and grandfather (2). I was born in Bluefield, VA in 1946, the third son of Walt Presley, an Insurance Agent, and Alice Presley, who taught 34 years at Graham High. I graduated from GHS in 1964, wasted a year at BC, served in the US Air Force (Nam era), worked on the Railroad, worked in the coal mines and graduated from VA Tech in Engineering in 1975, having paid my way through college with the help of the GI Bill, summer jobs, and a coal company scholarship (my choice after wasting my parents hard earned money during the first year). I worked as an Engineer in Kentucky and West Virginia. Then in early 1977 I took the Chief Engineer job at Tennessee Consolidated Coal C., Jasper, TN for the next 13 years. It was here that I met my wife, Banisha, who came to the US from Shillong, Meghalaya, India, to visit relatives after completing her BS in Nursing in Bombay. Bani and I have raised strong, healthy and well educated children. We enjoy vacations (Alaska by truck and camper, white water rafting(Ocoec, Gauley, and Pigeon Rivers and the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon). We also enjoy riding our Goldwing Trike. I also belong to the East River Amateur Radio Club. In 1990 the job in TN ended and I decided to move back to the hometown to raise my children and be near my mother who was in her early 80’s. I started an engineering company and as a Professional Engineer, I have worked with some local industries, primarily in the coal fields. I became involved in Real Estate in 1992 and have worked full-time, inactive, and mostly part-time. I decided this past year to return full time to real estate and relegate the engineering activities to part-time by not seeking new clients.
Real estate is one of the largest investments that most of us make in our lifetime. Utilization of a real estate professional is a wise choice. Reiterating “I want to be your Real Estate Salesperson” ”. Call me, ED PRESLEY, at home: 276-322-2730 or cell: 276-322-2221 and put me to work for you.
